Carol & Ken Born
Howell, NJ
A large swamp maple stood close to Carol and Ken Born’s inground pool, with no room for the bucket truck to get anywhere near it. The crew worked the whole tree down by hand and rigging instead, then raked and cleaned the yard thoroughly once the wood was out.
Michael Ryder
Howell, NJ
Michael Ryder first heard about Ultimate Tree Service from a Howell police officer he happened to meet at a local pizza parlor, who told him flatly that Ultimate was the crew to call. He took the recommendation at face value, and it held up.
Since then he has used Bernie’s crew twice at his own house and again at his sister’s place over in Candlewood, most recently for a tight removal of seven large trees packed into a small area, the kind of job where one mistake reaches a fence or a neighbor’s roof.

Jack Irvin
Jackson, NJ
Jack Irvin was arranging tree work from South Florida for his 78-year-old mother in Jackson after Hurricane Sandy dropped a tree on her car. Coordinating a job you can’t see, for a parent you’re not there to check on, is the kind of thing that makes people nervous.
Bernie showed up exactly on time for the estimate, then again two days later exactly as promised, with no chasing required from a thousand miles away. That was the whole test, and the crew passed it without Jack Irvin ever setting foot on the property.
Mark Lutz

Mark Lutz owns a construction company and knows how to read an estimate. After Hurricane Sandy he compared three quotes and chose Bernie’s crew over cheaper competitors on trust alone, a bet he says paid off with a “Perfect 10 rating.”
Harry Grantham

Harry Grantham had a dangerous removal on his hands, the kind other tree services had already looked at and turned down. Bernie took it on anyway.
The job needed a large crane to lift the trunk clear rather than lower it by climbing and rigging alone, the same equipment the crew brings out any time a tree is too big or too close to a structure to bring down any other way.
